MESSAGE:

Whenever you tell yourself, “I can’t control my temper. I can’t break this addiction. I can’t keep my eyes on the right things,” you’re defeating yourself in your own thinking. The battle starts in your mind.

JOEL OSTEEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL 4 August 2021

Right now, the Most High God is working in you. He’s bigger than any temptation, bigger than any stronghold. He created you to be free, and you have the grace to overcome. Instead of going through the day thinking, “I’ve tried to do it, but I just don’t have the discipline,” turn it around. Start saying, “Father, thank You that You’re giving me the desire to obey You. Thank You that I have the power to overcome, that the forces for me are greater than the forces against me. Thank You that Your grace, Your enabling power, is always greater than what’s trying to stop me. That temptation may be strong, but the power in me is stronger.” Get your mind going in the right direction. That’s the first step to victory.

JOEL OSTEEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL 4 August 2021

A PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father, thank You that You are working in me and giving me the desire to obey You. Thank You that I have the power to overcome and be disciplined to do the right thing. I believe that the forces for me are greater than the forces against me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

He is married to Victoria Osteen and he is the Pastor of Lakewood Church, an America’s largest and fastest-growing church. Joel Osteen ministry is committed to helping people from all walks of life experience the unconditional love and unending hope found only in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Joel osteen ministries believe that : the entire Bible is inspired by God, without error and the authority on which we base our faith, conduct and doctrine.

…in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to this earth as Savior of the world.

…Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for our sins. We believe that salvation is found by placing our faith in what Jesus did for us on the cross. We believe Jesus rose from the dead and is coming again.

…water baptism is a symbol of the cleansing power of the blood of Christ and a testimony to our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

…in the regular taking of Communion as an act of remembering what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross.

…every believer should be in a growing relationship with Jesus by obeying God’s Word, yielding to the Holy Spirit and by being conformed to the image of Christ.

…as children of God, we are overcomers and more than conquerors and God intends for each of us to experience the abundant life He has in store for us.
